(Term 3 Wk 6, 3/8 - 7/8)

Singapore's 44th Birthday falls on the Sunday of Week 6. This national event comes at a time when everyone is so busy with the Prelim exams. The Community-Involvement Programme (CIP) at Sembawang Park on Friday was the highlight of the week. Most of you were excited and enjoyed each other's company - having picnic, chit-chatting, zapping photos, and nonetheless... picking litters to help keep the park clean and green! :>

Let's have a recap of the week in a different style.

Monday & Tuesday - Lessons per normal. Stayed back after school for structured programmes.

Wednesday - Well, Prelim Oral Examinations. (2 examiners!)

Thursday - Assembly talk! A Good reader makes a better writer and the best listener! (gosh, did i get it right?)

Friday:
7.10 - Reported to school.
7.30 - Parade started. National anthem, Pledge-taking.
7.45 - Singing session. (What do you see? ~~~~ PSLE!)
8.15 - *Kallang Wave*
8.20 - Boarded the bus to Sembawang Park.
8.40 - Arrived at the park. Found a location. Laid our things/food on mats provided by Marcus (Tks!).
8.45 - *Makan* session began after somebody took the first bite of the food. There were spicy-hot Ayam (courtesy of Farisha & family), Sandwiches (courtesy of Yuzhen, Taffy, Eunice... and some others), jellies (Cecilia), chips (so many of you... majority contributed by the boys I guess), Big Breakfast (only meant for Sharini), and other snacks (can't list them all).
8.50 - Start of photo taking (thousands of them!). Everyone was zapping away with their cameras.
9.05 - Heard cries from a frog, couple of grasshoppers and some insects who were held captive by the boys. Teacher to the rescue. Instructed the boys not to disturb the organisms and their habitat.
9.10 - Heard the cries from the boys who were reprimanded by the teacher. (ok...this is not true)
9.15 - Class photo-taking.
9.18 - Picked up litters.
9.40 - Said goodbye to Sembawang Park.

Friday was indeed memorable. Everyone cherished the time we spent together. Take it as a short break from the revision. That's how we balance our study-life and leisure moments.

There is the EL Practice Paper 14 to be done. Do a proper job since Monday you get a day of rest.

*I'm still unable to upload pictures onto the blog. Once the blogspot is up again, I'll post the pictures in the postings.

ALRIGHT! SMILE always. Have a good weekend!

(Term 3 Wk 5, 27/7 - 31/7)

Hihi! Everyone's doing fine? (Hang on!)

You have just completed the Listening Comprehension (Prelim) Exams. Wow, speaking of time flies... it really does! Nothing in particular during Week 5. At the very least, we have completed the syllabus for all subjects. I shall officially announce the beginning of 'full-drill' revision! (Well, we have more or less started on revision)

Coming up in the week: Focus lesson in the morning will resume on 3 Aug, Monday. Be on time for the lessons and bring along your notebook. Teacher-initiated Focused Teaching begin this week as well. (Don't forget to have the form signed by your parents and submit the reply slip tomorrow) Of course, we'll have our National Day Celerbation this coming Friday! More details/instructions coming soon, watch out. BUT... the most important event in Week 6 has to be your Prelim Oral Exams on Wednesday! I'll give you more information in the coming days.

Weekend work to be done.

1. EL: Comprehension Cloze Ex 2 & 3
2. MA: AB Review 3 (to complete all)
3. SCI: Life Science WS (to be submitted on Mon, 3 Aug)
4. STAY HEALTHY and HAPPY

See you soon. Revise well. Rest well.
Smilez!
