(Term 3 Wk 4, 20/7 - 24/7)
Hello! This is another routine posting. I'm always vexed over how I can start off a posting. Hopefully I will not repeat a greeting more than once!
Week 4. The week when we celebrated Racial Harmony Day (RHD). This year, we were honoured to have our Minister of Education, as well as other distinguished guests to join us in the celebration. That day, we reinforced the underlying importance of having different races in Singapore living in harmony. We must continue to put in our best to ensure and maintain peaceful interaction among all people in this precious island of ours.
We also viewed the introduction video of the sitcom 'Under One Roof' (one of my personal favourite!) where we could see how people mingle in a neighbourhood. Of course, the follow-up activity of (modified) Hang-Man was to add some form of excitement to the day. Nevertheless, everyone took the challenge and competed with one another. Well, the prize was to enable the 'columns' to pick up their food for recess in a particular order. I could say that for the sake of the food, you guys truly put in your best.
The box was slightly bigger than a standard size table in the classroom. Everyone was neither excited nor emotionless towards the content of the box. "It's just some bread", "The box is so light, what food can it hold?". These were some queries/expectations for the food delivered to our class. Just when we thought the box contained the only food we were going to have, Syafiqah surprised everyone by preparing macaroni for the class. Wow, the effort to prepare the food for the class was simply great and appreciated. I must take this opportunity to again thank Syafiqah and her mum to contributing macaroni to everyone. THANK YOU! Everyone had only praises for the food. (While some showed their appreciation by taking a second helping!)
Alright, back to business. Prelim Listening Comprehension is coming up next. Do your very best. Treat it as the actual PSLE. Lack of motivation? Well, refer to the best wishes board in class. Everyone has been blessed by... well, everyone in the class! LC requires lots of concentration so make sure you listen closely and get the right answers!
Work for weekend.
