(Term 3 Wk 2, 6/7 - 10/7)
How fortunate are you? How comfortable your life is now? Ponder over these questions and you may say that your life is burdened with lots of school/home/tuition work. Furthermore, you have to take the PSLE in very near future. Yes, you do have a hectic lifestyle that you have to manage. However, there are people out there who are really less fortunate than you ~ insufficient food to fill their stomach, never try bubble tea before, do not have proper clothes to wear, can't afford entertainment like TV, Computer gaming etc etc ... ... and worse still, do not have the opportunity to be educated (no schooling). These are true AND sad.
We always heard that there are always someone out there better than us, regardless what is being compared. This will tell us no to be carried away when we achieve something and continue to strive to be better. On the other hand, we can tell ourselves that there are people out there who are less fortunate than us. This will remind us to appreciate what we have (family, values, friends, materialistic items, etc).
If we can offer our hand (to help them), we should always show our care to these people, in every way we can (big or small ways). After hearing some sharing by two of your classmates, we learnt that helping others must come from the heart. Yes, we may pity those needy people but we must be sensitive to them too. If they reject our help, we shall leave it as that. At the very least, we must not bad-mouth/tease them. Do keep this in mind.
Week 2 has zoomed past quickly as usual. There are only revision, revision and revision running in our heads. Nevertheless, laughters have never leave us and that help to lighten the atmosphere in our 'Work-a-holic' classroom. (hmm... i guess we can come up with a book if we can gather all the jokes we have said in the classroom this year... )
