(Term 1 Wk 4, 28/1 - 30/1)
Hi all!
Week 4 has been a very short week in terms of school days. Why? This was because Monday and Tuesday were public holidays - Chinese New Year! I hope you are enjoying/ have enjoyed this joyful festival. Anyway, lessons resumed on Wednesday and we were back to business.
For EL, you had taken the Spelling activity and we had gone on to World of Imagination (Chapter 2). We had also covered the use of demonstrative pronouns - this/these, that/those. I hope you can use the demonstrative pronouns appropriately.
Angles of Geometric Figures was not a new topic. Everyone must remember all the concepts/angle properties that were taught under this topic. Remember not to commit mistakes such as 'wrong expression' and 'missing units'. The topic 'Nets' was introduced on Friday. Observe your surroundings and identify objects that go with the shapes of 'Cube', 'Cuboid', 'Prism', 'Pyramid', 'Cylinder' and 'Cone'. (did i miss out any shapes?) Come week 5, you will have a greater understanding of Nets.
Papaya plant has poisonous parts? Why does the body of a car be made of metal? These are some questions that we have gone through under the subject Science. Beside the textbook and activity book, the worksheets also offer more examples for you to better understand the topic Classifying Things. Watch out for the new topic 'Energy' in Week 5.
Also note that you have to bring your thermometer for the coming week as we will have the Temperature-taking exercise.
Work for the weekend? Check them out.
1) EL - Topical WS
2) EL - Journal: "What make you happy?"
3) MA - AB Pract 1 'Nets'
4) SCI - Read Chp 2.
See you on Monday then. Have a good rest. ;>
