(Term 1 Wk 3, 19/1 - 23/1)

Happy Chinese New Year! Welcome the Year of Ox!

The Chinese New Year festival strikes this week and will continue into week 4. I wish everyone good health and best wishes for your PSLE.

Week 3 was as busy as usual. In English, we have completed the theme Festivals and had just started on Topic 2, World of Imagination. We had our first Spelling and Composition. For Mathematics, we have also gone on to Angles of Geometrical Figures, the topic after Algebra. It was actually a re-teaching of the Angles topic from P5. In Science, we had visited the Eco-garden and compared, using real specimen, fungus and plants. Though it may seem taxing, the concept mapping activity should help you gather the thoughts to have a good picture of what Classifying Things is about.

Last Friday, you also attended the school concert for CNY 09. There were singing and dancing (some of you even participated in the performance!), wushu and lion dance performances, and the finale of a Sing-together.

Take a breather during the CNY festival. Watch what you eat and how you eat. Return school on Wednesday 28/1 with good health and ready for lessons. See you next week!

(Good job!)

I must thank those who have brought the red-packets for the classroom decoration for CNY. Especially those parents who have contributed the nice decor that brightens up the learning environment. Lastly, also pupils who have helped in 'dolling up' the classroom. THANK YOU!

Mood: GREAT! Awaiting nice delicacies for the CNY festival! Yummy... slurp slurp.. oops!

(Term 1 Wk 1 & 2, from 5/1 - 16/1)

Hihi everyone (including Parents!)!

Welcome back to school (welcome 2009 too!),

Wow! Time flies so fast and now you're in the last stage of your primary school education. 2008 was a past and now you are facing one of your most important schooling years in your life - the PRIMARY SIX!

This year, you are experiencing some changes in terms of your lessons for every subject. The form class, 6 Resilience, is also the class for the subjects EL , Health Ed, Physical Ed, Music, Art, Social Studies and SEL. As for Mathematics and Science lessons, you will be attending classes according to the banded group. This is to ensure everyone can learn at a suitable pace and recieve an even more appropriate support for your learning. As time passes, you will be accustomed to these changes. So, take the first two weeks to adjust to the movement.

Well well, as P6 pupils, you are the 'oldest' pupils in the school. Your conduct and learning attitude are expected to be the best among all the pupils in the school. You have greater responsibility in yourself and, whenever necessary, guide and help your 'juniors' - P1 to P5.

There is this acroynm that all P6 pupils are related to and you may be thinking now why I have yet to mention it... okay, embrace yourself... PSLE! Yes, Primary School Leaving Examinations. You will be taking your PSLE this year. It was a bonus for those whom I had taught last year as I had explained how important education was to you. For those new to this blog, you must know the answers to these questions,

"Why are you in school?" (For study, play OR misbehave, waste time away?)

"How can you make full use of your time in school?" (Do the right thing at the right time!)

Time waits for nobody. If you want to graduate Primary Sch education with good results, you have to do your part and learn well. Do not live with regrets. Should you have doubts, ask for help. All the teachers will be there to assist you.

Alright, a brief recap on what had happened during the first two weeks of school.

This blog is for pupils from 6RS (form class) as well as all Banded Groups coming to 6RS for MA and SCI lessons, and former 5RS (2008) pupils. Pupils of other classes from ADMPS are also welcomed but do observe Cyber etiquette.

Parents, feel free to visit this blog to have an update of the learning and happening your child is experiencing in school.

See you in the next posting! :>
