This post comes later than usual. Well here it is.
The tests are over! ...
Hmmm, do I hear the sound of relief? Yes, most of you are done with the tests and may be resting now since spending days of studying for the tests. If you truly spend effort studying for the tests, you deserve some rest.
At the same time, Term 3 is coming to an end too (some of you must be looking forward to the one-week holidays). We shall face the last week soon. I hope that you can take the time to do your reflection for the whole of Term 3 - what you have done well, what you could have done better AND what you should not have done.
For this weekend, you have...
1. Journal
Yes. That's all
Mood: I've a mix of feelings. Can't really put them in words. :~i

(Term 3 Week 8, 11/8 - 15/8)
Hi all. Week 8 has got to win the Gold medal for being the 'shortest week' ever for you. Two days of school that are sandwiched between a holiday that was extended from National Day and two days of PSLE oral examinations. Nevertheless, we had done some revision for the CA2.
Just like the participants for the Olympics. You should be preparing for the CA2 next week - the Grand Final - for Term 3. Your 'Olympics' will begin on Tuesday and last for four days. Remember the key concepts in every topic (of every subjects). Go through them more than once.
Revision for CA2. Check them out! 1) EL - Vocab Bklet Q1-77 (check out for ans key in comment section!)
2) MA: CA Practice Paper 1 Bklet A
3) SCI: CA Practice Paper 2
4) Journal (optional)
By the way, is this the shortest posting that I've ever written? Hmmm...
Advice: Study well and take care of your health!

(Term 3 Week 7, 4/8 - 8/8)
Good morning to all,
This week is indeed filled with fun, joy, victory and to some, disappointment. I've so many thoughts right now that I do not know where I should begin.
Alright, let's start with classroom learning. Revision has started for the subjects. A new topic was revealed in English - teaching us the danger of fire. We had also done the concept mapping for the Science topics - Using Electricity Safely & Wisely. I believe what struck you the most could be the 'Restaurant Game' which enabled us to go through the topic on Percentage. Everyone had the chance to role play as 'Waiter/Waitress', 'Boss' and 'Customers'. Selecting what to eat/drink, jotting down orders, calculating 7% GST and checking if the calculation is correct using a calculator - these were the key actions done during the game. I hope you've enjoyed the game and remember the key concepts of Percentage.

Moving on from the classroom learning, we also had our celebration for National Day at Woodlands Stadium. The two events that most of you had participated were the Costume Race and the Time Bomb Race. There was victorious joy that I will congratulate again - those who won the medals, the effort you've put in, the teamwork that was shown - *Clap, *Clap, *Clap!
The event was also marred by an incident that I hope all those who were involved and awared, to learn to be gracious and forgiving. I see it as part of your growing up - life is full of achievements as well as disappointments. Pick up from where you fall (or where you did not do so well), move on and improve. Therefore, I must reiterate that 'Winning is not everything. Sportsmanship is the key'.
Ok, I shall let the pictures & videos do the 'talking'. Enjoy.

(Term 3 Wk 6, 28/7 - 1/8)
This week we tried the game of Gasing. It's a Malay traditional game and many of us were playing it for the very first time. It was fun especially when everyone had a hand in putting the Gasing into spins. Of course, I must congratulate those who were able to successful carry the game of Gasing because it was not easy to get it spinning in the first place!
Beside learning about the game of Gasing under Malay Culture, we've completed the topic on 'Percentage'. Remember what have been taught and ask questions if you do not understand. Do not carry out activities on your own.
We also had the H-PBL presentation whereby every group presented on the site that they had visited. It was a great effort and with more opportunity, everyone can present well in front of an audience.
In this weekend, what do you have to take note of?
1. MA - AB Angles: Pract 2 2. SCI - WS (MCQ) on Electricity 3. Journal
Just a reminder, please take note of your appearance as there is a check coming up in the week. Make sure you get your hair trim (boys), finger nails cut (all), no footie (not shorter than ankle sock!).
See you on Mon! :>
Mood: Feel GOOD. Unable to describe this 'good' feeling. Maybe I'm happy.
