(Term 2 Week 10, 19/5-23/5)

Dear all,

I know this post has arrived a little later than usual. Pardon me as I was busy... or rather resting. The title suggests what I am going to share in this post. Yes, you've completed half the race - half of the school calendar year where you've gone through numerous topics, worksheets, tests, exams, learning journeys/trips etc. The past five months are definitely filled with activities and events that you might have lost count recalling them. I hope you can remember and learn from the experiences - for they will not come again.

Week 10 - one of the shortest week ever

I will not spend time listing all the events or happenings - I shall leave it to you to recall at your own time. The week 10 was a rather short week - Monday was a holiday, Wednesday and Thursday were E Learning days. Nevertheless, I believe you have picked up or became better in your IT skills in those E Learning days. (I must say I enjoy reading your work/comics ... I couldn't stop laughing!)

Week 10 also saw one of our friends left for Shanghai due to family commitments. Although it has only been a period of five months, I could see that the class has known one another better day by day and some form of unity has been created. So, Venezia! The class will always remember you! We wish you the best as you continue the learning journey in another country.

Of course, as the title says, we still have half the race left to complete. By now you should be clear how much effort you need to put in for the remaining race. Seek help whenever you need. If you do not help yourself... nobody will!

I shall stop here as I need to prepare for the structured programme for the next four days. Stay healthy everyone!

Mood: Err... I feel older... (haha)

(EXTRA: A very BIG thank you to those who has given me greetings. I really appreciate them as they constantly remind me of my ... err.. age!)

(Term 2 Week 9, 12/5 - 16/5)

Hihi everyone,

Week 9 of Term 2 has just gone past. Before we welcome the last week of Term 2, let's recall what you've done for the week.

There was checking of exams scripts as usual. That was followed by the 1.6km make-up run on Tuesday. I could tell from those who did the run that you really did your best. Anyway, it's over! Next, we went through the topic on Sharks - the types of shark, habitat, features etc. Lastly, there was the IT lesson on sending Email, as well as attaching a file to the email.

I may not have mentioned all the things that we have done for the week. You can do the recollection on your own. I will email to your lead.com account regarding how you can attach a file to an email. Check your lead.com account from Sunday onwards and you can practise attaching a file to email - a skill that you need for the E-Learning days coming soon.

Here's the work for the weekend;

1. MA - Review 2 Q1-20.

Remember to bring colour pencils when you return to school on Tues. I've booked the Computer Lab on Tues. If the class can behave well, we will visit the Lab again to practise 'emailing' again.

Before I end off, here's the portrait of Sharky (and Sharky Junior too)!

(Term 2 Wk 8, 5/5 - 9/9)

Many sighed a relief as they had completed all the exams papers. I know, and I believe, you have spent the time revising and preparing for the exams this week. It has come to an end now.

Before the week was done, some of exams papers were marked and returned to you for correction. The class had mixed feelings when they collected the papers. This is inevitable, especially when everyone has different expectations, and results respectively. Nonetheless, as I always emphasize, face the problem (reality) and deal with it courageously and wisely.

It could be the start of a change. A serious one probably. You can question yourself - if you could have put in more effort. Did my effort paid off? The list can go on... so the change is a must!

If you are not good enough,
try harder and wiser.
If you are already good enough,
be better and happier.

This just c0me to my mind as I write this post. I hope you can find meaning in this post. No particular work over the weekend. You shall have a rest. Shall see you in coming week.

What's the motto again?

BE HAPPY. SMILES ALWAYS.
(you choose the way you live your life)

(Term 2 Wk 7, 28/4 - 2/5)

Preparation. Revision.
More Preparation. More revision.

It is the time preparing and revising for the mid-year exams. Recall what you have learnt and learn from your mistakes. The dates have been set: Eng (Mon), Maths (Tues) and Sci (Wed). Getting ready is all that you need to do. You have no time to feel nervous. Spend your time wisely by getting prepared for the exams.

No particular work over the weekend. Go through all the Textbooks, Activity Books, Worksheets, Spelling Bk, Jotter Bk etc.

Need motivation? Read through your journal on the entry after your Class Tests. Remember your own promise to yourself? Use that to help you in your revision. Everyone can only aim to do better!

I shall not 'nag' anymore. Do your best!

Before I log off, here's the video of the release of carbon dioxide from the yeast mixture taken shortly after you left the lab. Notice the bubble coming off the straw in the limewater content. That's the release of carbon dioxide and the limewater had turned chalky.

Mood: I'm feeling well so that I can learn better. :>
